Embedding zondle in your website without iFrames

From time to time we find that people are unable to embed zondle games in their website because their VLE or blog software doesn’t permit the use of iFrames.  This is a security measure.

In this case we are unable to actually embed zondle games in the site, but we do now provide a pretty looking link that can be embedded in your website which takes you to a blank page on the zondle website where the student can play the game.  This tutorial shows you how this works:

using zondle Mobile with the 'connect to zondle' edmodo app

Update: Since writing this blog post we have added edmodo login functionality to the iOS app and it is awaiting approval from Apple.  Android and Kindle Fire HD will follow in the next week or two when we release the next major update to the zondle Mobile app.

In the mean time the following information is still valid.

If you are using "connect to zondle" in edmodo you can still use the zondle Mobile apps. This overview shows you how students can get the login details that they need to log in on zondle Mobile.

Using the 'connect to zondle' edmodo app in conjunction with an existing zondle account

We have been asked a couple of times since we developed the “connect to zondle” edmodo app if it is possible to link an existing zondle account with the new zondle account that the “connect to zondle” app creates when it is installed.  We have looked hard at this and ended up realising that there is actually a rather simple solution to this.  By adding your existing zondle account as a friend of your “connect to zondle” account you can view and use all the topics you have created in your existing zondle account.  The following video explains how to do this.

We hope this is helpful :)

New zondle home page released

Over the weekend we released the new zondle home page.  We hope that this will make it easier for people to understand what zondle is and how it works quickly and easily.

There is a much simpler interface to help you log in quicker.

There are sections for Teachers and Students as well as bigger explanation of the education research and neuroscience behind zondle.

Of course we would love to hear what you think.
