zondle Raspberry Pi game programming kit released!
We are always looking for new ways to help the next generation to learn. One of the things we've been watching closely (and having a bit of a play with ourselves) is the wonderful Raspberry Pi. This palm sized computer is very inexpensive and plugs into just about any screen. It can be used for anything from monitoring air quality to programming games making it an ideal and accessible way of getting into programming.
I (Dougi) haven't been as excited about opening a parcel since I unpacked my Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k all those years back. It really is such an exciting bit of kit.
So we have built a game programming kit for the Raspberry Pi which enables you and your students to play the zondle topics you create on the main zondle website in a game written on a Raspberry Pi.
It is, of course, free to use. You can get the kit here.
Here are some videos showing how it all works.

We hope this is fun and look forward to seeing what you and your students create!
