New question type. Image or text sequencing.

Today we release a new question type thanks to feedback from Rabbi Tauber in Florida.  He suggested that a sequencing question type would be useful.  So today we built that and have released it on the zondle platform.

Simply upload a number of images or text items for your students to drag and drop into the correct sequence on screen.

Here are some images showing how the new question type looks and a quick video overview.

We hope this is useful and we look forward to any feedback.

New question type released! Image and text multiple choice.

Today we are pleased to release a new question type.  This image and text based multiple choice is ideal for many subjects.  In particular maths where complex equations are needed.

You choose to use text and/or an image for the question.  You choose to use images or text for the answers.  So loads of flexibility to lay out the question in exactly the way that you need.

Here are some examples of different ways to lay out questions and a video introducing the question type in more detail.

Question reference improvements include:

New feature: Easily amend or delete your students' topics from your teacher account

Another feature that was long overdue is released today.  That is the ability for you to be able to quickly and easily edit your students’ topics directly from your teacher account.  Simply locate the topic you wish to edit, click on the + symbol and click on “edit topic”.  If you are a teacher for the creator you can then edit that topic.

Thanks to Trish in the USA for nudging us into actually finally making this change and our apologies to all that it has taken so long to do.

The following video shows how this works.

zondle with special needs students

"I teach high school children with cognitive disabilities.  My students' level range from the pre-primer to the 3rd grade level.  I am always struggling to find websites, activities, and lessons that meet the individualized needs of all my students.  Zondle was a fantastic find!  I can make games that are individualized for just one student without spending hours at my computer.  Even my lowest students are able to be independent and successful on Zondle!"
Dara Sklare, special education teacher, USA.

This is what zondle is all about.  Personalised content, delivered in a fun and effective way.  Thank you for your kind words Dara.

Enhanced zondle features for Edmodo and other blog/VLE systems

Following the release of the new enhanced zondle embed code yesterday we had some very helpful feedback that the embedded zondle app was too wide for some platforms.  Most notably Edmodo.

We always listen to feedback so that we can make zondle better for you.  So we have now designed a version that will fit perfectly into Edmodo and other platforms.

The following video shows you how this works.

Any feedback is, of course, very welcome.

New feature: Embedding enhanced zondle features in your website

You’ve always had the ability to embed zondle topic and game combinations in your website.  However, today we take that to an entirely new level.

Now you can embed a tiny bit of code in your website that enables students to log in or create zondle accounts. They can then see the topics that you’ve set them and play those in any of the zondle games.

Scores and progress are saved as if they were playing on the main zondle website.  So you can see their progress in your gradebook in the normal way.

This is all, of course, free to use.  The following video shows how it all works and here are three tutorials to get you started:

We hope this is helpful and look forward to any feedback.

Curry for breakfast

A 5am arrival in Bangalore with Web Mission and a wonderful curry for breakfast.   Bangalore is a big and busy place 5h 30m ahead of the UK and it was straight into the Indian experience.

A brief sleep and then an introduction to the team who are looking after the group and an insight into how doing business in India is about “like, love and then respect”.
